FIRST-EVER DALI-DISNEY EXHIBIT IN DOWNTOWN ST. PETERSBURG JANUARY 2016

Dali & Disney. Two of the most intriguing minds of the 20th Century are coming together in a landmark exhibit at The Dali Museum in downtown St. Petersburg in January 2016.

An exhibition titled “Disney and Dali: Architects of the Imagination” dives into the relationship between the two creative visionaries, who actually collaborated on

an animated short titled “Destino,” which began in 1945 but wasn’t released until 2003.

After the collaboration, the two icons formed a strong friendship, which is highlighted in the exhibit’s original paintings, story sketches, conceptual artwork, correspondences, photographs and audio from the unlikely creative comrades. The exhibit will run until June 2016.
