Posted on: 22 May 2017

Carved by glaciers more than 12,000 years ago, the Michigan landscape is unique. With three national forests, seven national parks and two national lakeshores it is home to 100 state parks offering hiking, biking, camping, canoeing, fishing, snowshoeing, cross country skiing and other great recreational activities, and with 650 public golf courses, Michigan really is the great outdoors.

It has over 100 public beaches, some of the highest freshwater sand dunes in the world, stunning multi-colored sandstone cliffs and the only national marine sanctuary in the Great Lakes, the Thunder Bay National Marine Sanctuary in Lake Huron..

Detroit, the gateway and the largest city in the state of Michigan, has direct flights from the UK. America’s great comeback city is an undeniable “IT” place to visit with new restaurants, entertainment districts, shops and businesses.

Icons within Detroit and key attractions for visitors is the original recording studio of Motown, a museum showcasing the legends in music. Then the home of Henry Ford Museum which has a wealth of history throughout the ages, stay at the Dearborn Inn, the first airport hotel in the world built by Henry Ford.
