United Airlines Further Expands Service Between Dublin and the U.S.

United Airlines announced a further expansion of its nonstop services between Dublin and the U.S., offering its highest ever capacity from Dublin. The airline is extending the second frequency of its Dublin-New York service to almost year-round and its Dublin-Chicago O’Hare service to year-round. United will offer more flights and seats from Dublin than any other U.S. airline year-round.

Together with the airline’s recent expansion for summer 2025, including the seasonal doubling of flights between Dublin and Washington D.C., from once to twice daily and increased capacity on its Dublin to Chicago O’Hare seasonal service with the introduction of a state-of-the-art Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner aircraft, United will be increasing its overall seat offer from Dublin to the U.S. by over 50 per cent for 2026,
when compared to 2024.

“This significant expansion further underlines the importance of Dublin within United’s global network,” said Karolien De Hertogh, Director Sales U.K. and Ireland, United Airlines.

“When booking their next U.S. getaway, our customers in Ireland will benefit from even greater travel choice in the winter season, with the possibility to seamlessly connect via our hubs in New York/Newark, Chicago O’Hare and Washington D.C to over 140 destinations in the Americas.”

“More capacity on United Airlines’ services from Dublin to New York’s Newark and Chicago O’Hare airports is great news for our passengers,” said Gary McLean, Managing Director, Dublin Airport.

“The move to almost year-round operations for the second daily Newark service and year-round for the daily Chicago flight is a clear signal of the strong demand from our American customers. We look forward to continuing to support United’s success at Dublin Airport.”

The expansion of services between Dublin and the U.S. is part of United’s largest international expansion in its history, adding six new destinations and nine new routes across the Atlantic for customers this summer.
