UPDATED: US Entry Requirements

New Entry Requirements Relating to COVID-19

On the 8th of November 2021, the US reopened for international visitors. It is important to note that there are some new entry requirements.

Full Vaccination

To enter the US, adults must be fully vaccinated with an approved vaccine or be eligible for an exemption to the requirement. As part of this. you must have certified proof of vaccination, such as the HSE issued EU Digital COVID certificate.

See here for a list of approved vaccines and for definitions for full vaccination.

Please note that the criteria for exemption to the requirement for adults to be fully vaccinated are extremely narrow and most normal visitors to the USA are required to be fully vaccinated. Click here for more details on the exemptions to the vaccination requirement.

Children under the age of 18 are exempted from the requirement to be fully vaccinated. Click here for more information.

Pre-Departure COVID-19 Testing

Please note that as of 12 June 2022, pre-departure COVID-19 testing is no longer required to enter the USA.
