Explore Greater Palm Springs’ Awesome Outdoor Art with New App

Greater Palm Springs has just launched an awesome app, ArtsGPS, that helps visitors explore more than 100 outdoor public art installations scattered throughout the region.

Ranging from whimsical and thought-provoking sculptures to colourful wall murals, the app also provides a list of the day’s local art exhibits, nearby attractions and things to do. As a bonus, users can also search for local restaurants, book a flight, make hotel reservations and purchase tickets to local attractions through the app.

Greater Palm Springs is renowned for its dynamic arts and culture offerings, as the host destination for the outdoor art exhibition Desert X for the third time and the home for Modernist architecture, the new app allows visitors to explore the destination’s outdoor offerings, under 300 days of sunshine and fresh valley air, with ease.

Universal’s Epic Universe is Back!

Work is resuming on Universal Orlando Resort’s Epic Universe – the widely anticipated theme park that will create an entirely new level of theme park entertainment.

Work on Epic Universe paused in July 2020, as the company adjusted plans in the midst of the pandemic.  The restart will begin immediately – but is expected to take several months before reaching full-speed as Universal re-staffs for the project and reassembles its vendor and contractor teams.

Epic Universe will feature a new theme park, an entertainment centre, hotels, shops, restaurants and more.  It will be located on a 750-acre site that nearly doubles Universal’s total available acreage in Central Florida. It will be located a few miles from Universal Orlando’s current theme parks in Southwest Orange County – specifically, south of Sand Lake Road and east of Universal Boulevard.
