Key West Visitors Can Now Ride in Truman’s Presidential Limo

History lovers planning a Florida getaway later this year are in for a special treat in Key West – a tour by Presidential limousine! As part of a new VIP White Glove Tour at Key West’s Harry S. Truman Little White House, Florida’s only presidential museum, visitors can now travel around the island city in the limo formerly used by President Truman during his term in office (1945-53) which saw him spend 175 days in Key West over 11 visits.

Chesapeake Country Scenic Byway Named as an “All-American Road”

Maryland’s Chesapeake Country Scenic Byway has been designated as an All-American Road by the U.S. Department of Transportation’s Federal Highway Administration (FHWA), the highest designation a road can receive. This honour was announced along with 49 new designations to the America’s Byways® collection, including 15 All-American Roads (AAR) and 34 National Scenic Byways (NSB) in 28 states.

Chesapeake Country Scenic Byway (CCSB) stretches 419 land miles from Chesapeake City to Crisfield (plus 12 nautical miles to Smith Island) and delivers an epic journey through the extraordinary landscapes and waterscapes of Maryland’s Eastern Shore.

Delta Air Lines’ Carbon Neutrality Plan

Travellers shouldn’t have to choose between seeing the world and saving it. Delta’s vision is zero-impact aviation: air travel that does not damage the environment directly or indirectly via greenhouse gas emissions, noise, waste generation or other environmental impacts. Delta pledged to be carbon-neutral from March 2020.

In 2020, Delta retired over 200 older aircraft and replaced them with planes that are 25% more fuel-efficient. Retiring older aircraft and reduced passenger loads amid COVID-19 meant Delta’s fleet was nearly 6% more fuel-efficient per available seat mile in 2020 than in 2019, saving 117 million gallons of fuel. That’s equivalent to the annual electricity consumption of 200,000 households.

Meanwhile, Delta is investing in sustainable aviation fuel with the medium-term goal to replace 10% of its jet fuel refined from fossil fuel with SAF by the end of 2030.
